- Student quires and concerns can be addressed immediately by an online tutor through the many communication channels available at their disposal.
- Assessments such as quizzes and exam are grade immediately and feedback return to students as compared to traditional ODL which requires manual grading.
2. Discuss the responsibilities of an online tutor in a course
The responsibilities of an online tutor are as follows
- Ensure the content material are aligning with course one line.
- Objectives are clearly stated for topic and sub-topic covered
- Ensure assessment that the assessments prepared allows student to apply the concepts they have learned during the course and is accompanied with a rubric that provide information of what is expected in completing the assessment.
- Provide feedback to student based on concerns that may arise during the course as well as track their progression within the course.
