Evaluating the quality of student support services in distance education is critical because, by definition, Open Distance Learning (ODL) is a service industry with numerous student support service encounters. Most quality evaluation models look at quality from an institutional standpoint. As a result, major challenges tend to rise that compromise the quality of learning in an ODL environment. In this section, we are going to discuss the challenges facing quality in ODL.
