The institution at which I work utilises modules, LMS (moodle), and the Hybrid Approach for ODL. The role of the tutors is to prepare the content and assessments for the learning platform, execute tutorials as guided by the schedule, mark assessments and provide descriptive feedback, and monitor students attendance and performance. The role of the tutor can only be deemed effective if continuous monitoring and supervision of the ODL is done. This is the only way that the tutor can track the students' success or challenges.
