      Each week of this course has a forum set up. Please make sure that your questions are added to the forum that is related to the current week of the course to ensure they are responded to.
       
      You can use the forum space to ask questions, discuss information and share new findings of the course content.

      The forums are moderated by your course facilitator. The forum will be checked weekly and your questions will be responded to at the latest, each Friday.
       
      If you have an urgent question or would like a quicker response, please contact your course facilitator or your country's course support team directly via email.

    • Welcome to week 1! 

      This week we will introduce you to the concept of a needs assessment, why it is important and the impact getting it right has. 

      We will also learn what skills are needed to become a competent needs assessor.

      You should work through the videos and then attempt the activities in your weekly course portfolio. 

    • Video Transcripts Folder

      Word-for-word transcripts are provided for each video. 

      There are optional, alternative formats for the key weekly content. 

      The transcripts are provided as Microsoft Word Documents.

    • Week 1 Supplementary Resources Folder

      In this folder you will find the week 1 supplementary resources. These include: 

      • The Mock Example Needs Assessment 
      • A written resource "what is a needs assessment" 
      • The Needs Assessment Blank, downloadable Template 

    • Your Weekly Portfolio File

      This is your portfolio. Work through the activities in this document and upload your portfolio when complete. 

      You should aim to upload your portfolio by the Sunday of every week. 

      It is mandatory to complete all 6 portfolios in order to pass the course. It is advised that you continue to upload your portfolio on time in order to keep pace with the course.
